The master’s exam also brings other advantages:
the master acquires a secondary professional education,
in the event of a difference to the vocational matura, the master may continue his education at higher vocational schools,
the master can be a mentor to pupils and students at PUD,
the master meets the educational conditions for performing certain craft activities in accordance with the Decree on Craft Activities,
the master may be the construction manager and allows entry in the directory of construction managers, in accordance with the Construction Act, for works for which he has obtained a master’s degree (eg mason, carpenter, master of mechanical installations, electrical master, etc.)

the master can be a member of the Club of Masters of Slovenia (KMS). WHO CAN TAKE THE MASTER EXAM? Anyone who meets one of the following conditions has the right to take the master’s exam:
has obtained a secondary vocational education (in any field!) and has at least three years of work experience in the field in which he wishes to take the master’s examination;
has obtained a secondary professional education (in any field!) and has at least two years of work experience in the field in which he wishes to take the master’s exam;
has at least a higher professional education and at least one year of work experience in the field in which he wishes to take the master’s examination The master’s exam consists of four parts:
practical part (part I);
professional-theoretical part (part II);
management and economic part (part III);
pedagogical-andragogical part (part IV). The individual parts of the master’s examination are divided into individual examination units in accordance with the examination catalog determined for each part of the master’s examination and for each master’s title. The Chamber of Craft and Entrepreneurship of Slovenia has been conducting master’s exams since 2000 for 52 master’s degrees. Master’s exams are also conducted for most deficient professions for which enrollment in regular educational programs is not possible.
